The four basic principles of Taylor’s Scientific Management Theory are scientific job design, scientific selection and individual employee training, cooperation between management and personnel and equal distribution of work. The first principle of scientific job design refers to the process of considering scientific rather logical reasoning while design a job and the tasks pertinent to it. The second principle is more related to the comprehension of employee’s skill set. The principle states that jobs must be assigned to employees based on the skills and competence they possess (Mumby, 2013).
